1. Eligibility

Professors, associate professors, experts, scientists, and managers with outstanding achievements currently working at universities, research institutes, international organizations, or foreign technology corporations, embracing aspirations and commitments to contribute to education, science, technology, and innovation at VNUHCM and in Vietnam.

2. Appointment Criteria

a. General requirements

• Demonstrated excellence in lecturing, research, and technology transfer, as evidenced by international publications, patents, technological products, etc
• Willing to participate in lecturing activities, including in-person and online sessions, co-supervise Ph.D. candidates, organize scientific workshops, support the development of international collaboration proposals, and assist in establishing strong research groups.
• Ưu tiên cho các Lĩnh vực: Chip – Bán dẫn, Trí tuệ nhân tạo, Chuyển đổi sốCông nghệ sinh học, Y sinh học, Công nghệ vật liệu, Năng lượng mới, Logistics mới, Tài chính quốc tế, Biến đổi khí hậu và Phát triển bền vững, Lịch sử, Văn hóa Việt Nam,… (gọi chung là Lĩnh vực ưu tiên).

b. Specific requirements

• For candidates from universities and research institutes: Having at least 10 years of experience in lecturing or research if holding (only) a Ph.D. degree; or current Professor/Associate Professor status at a recognized university/research institution.
• For candidates from international corporations and organizations: Having a minimum of 10 years of practical experience at reputable companies, corporations, or organizations in the relevant field; having held key positions such as technical expert, manager, or head of research and development (R&D); and possessing experience in leading or participating in large-scale projects, especially those involving innovation or technology application.

c) Exceptions

In the case of individuals with exceptionally outstanding achievements who wish to work, contribute, and are endorsed by a reputable scientist from within or outside VNUHCM, the selection committee will propose that the Chancellor of VNUHCM consider and decide on an invitation and appointment regardless of age limit and without requiring the standard appointment process.
