1. Rights

General Policies of VNUHCM

a) Be appointed as an Adjunct Professor at VNUHCM.

b) Airfare support: Each Adjunct Professor will be provided with up to two round-trip economy-class air tickets per year throughout the term of appointment

c) Accommodation and subsistence support: Each Adjunct Professor will be provided with accommodation (hotel) and meal allowances during their working period in Vietnam, for up to 10 working days per year, in accordance with prevailing government regulations

d) Research support: Adjunct Professor will be supported by VNUHCM in undertaking science and technology assignments, enabling their participation in research projects as co–principal investigators or team members

đ) Access to facilities and resources: Adjunct Professor will be granted access to the facilities, laboratories, and other academic resources of VNUHCM to support their teaching and research activities

e) Administrative support: Assistance will be provided with legal procedures, visa applications, and entry/exit formalities

g) Recognition and certification: Visiting professors will be formally recognized and awarded a certificate by VNUHCM upon completion of their term of appointment

Unit-Funded Policies

a) Administrative support: Assistance will be provided to adjunct professors in completing procedures related to work permit exemption applications, visa processing, and other relevant documentation

b) Compensation based on teaching hours, co-supervision of research, and other activities in accordance with the unit’s regulations.

2. Responsibilities of Adjunct Professors

a) Have obtained approval from their employing institution or relevant competent authority

b) Comply with the regulations of both their home institution and VNUHCM, particularly in areas of confidentiality, academic ethics and integrity.

c) Proactively develop and implement lecturing and research plans at VNUHCM.

d) Commit to a minimum of 10 working days per year at VNUHCM.
